Texture

1.  Smooth, bumpy and rough come to mind. I notice that certain parts of the tread are round which seems odd for some reason. The edge of the tire looks sharp and dangerous.  The dark tire is very bright. This tire is made to get work done and go where not much has gone before.  It hardly even looks used. It looks fresh and eager to be used.

2.  The most basic description of what i see in front of me is a bicycle tire. This tire consists of a couple different types of treads, one circular, one  rectangular and one triangular.  This tire isn't very used.  The picture is taken about two feet off the ground and from the back left side of a bicycle.  I see some of the frame of the bike as well as the rear brake pad. This bicycle is a mountain bike and not a BMX bike.

3.  There is little variation of color in this photo because most of it is black.  There is a really good placement of the object in space because it makes the tire pop out more than it should.  The quality of line in this photo is good. you can see the edges of the treads on the tire well since the bike hasn't been used very much.  I like the composition of this photo because the tire comes out of the bottom right part of the picture and brings your eyes to the top middle. This composition creates movement and makes the picture flow.

4.  Almost everyone remembers trying to ride a bike for the first time. Some people weren't fortunate enough to be able to do this but it is nearly a milestone when you finally get going on a bike without training wheels. You just have to try and try and eventually you will succeed. This photo represents all the people that haven't tried something yet. A one word title would be - Engage.

5.  This photo connects with the works of Richard Serra in a few ways.  I have a couple circular shapes in my photo and he appears to be very fond of using circular shapes in his works.  His pieces have a little bit of texture on them and i have a lot of texture appearing in my photo.  Most of his pieces have a large amount of movement and my photo does as well.
