1. When I look at this photo, I become curious. Where does this bridge go? It almost looks as if there is a river underneath it. When I look closer i can tell that it is just very short grass of some kind. The top of the bridge is very bright. The trees surround the bridge very well and conceal the other end of it. The bridge has a mysterious presence with the trees cushioning the side of it.
2. What I see in this photo that is in front of me is little color. The picture consists of only blacks, grays and whites. I see a bridge occupying most of the left edge of the picture disappear into the center of the picture, becoming smaller towards the center due to perspective. The part of the bridge in the picture is not over any water, but is over grass, bushes and trees. You can see supports for the bottom of the bridge touching the ground as well as the area underneath the bridge. The grass underneath the bridge comes from the lower left third of the picture and goes all the way to the right part of the picture and almost curves toward the point of view. The part of the bridge not over grass is surrounded by apparently dense trees. You can see trees through to the left side of the bridge as well as on top of and to the right of the bridge. You can not see the ends of the bridge.
3. I think that the composition of this photo is rather interesting. Even if the photo was taken parallel to the ground, the subject matter of it makes it interesting and fresh. The line quality of this picture is very good. It is crisp in the Geographic areas such as the bridge and loose and organic in the trees and brush. Even if this is a black and white photo, there is a nice balance of colors. Dark colors are mostly on the bridge and light colors surround the bridge and make it even more prominent. The placement of this photo is appropriate. It shows a nice amount of perspective and has the main object in the photo surrounded comfortably by less important things.
4. I think that this photo does tell a story. It tells the story of that little monkey named George. If you aren't curious about things you will never discover anything. You have to travel through this bridge to discover what lies on the other side. You will stay the same if you don't discover new things in life. Some people are fine with staying the same but after a while there will be inevitable monotony. One word for the title of this photo would be - Discovery.
5. This photo relates to the work of Albrecht Durer wonderfully. It has many different values and the contour lines are crisp when necessary. The photo is not abstract much like many pieces by Durer. It also appears that Durer was very fond of doing black and white pieces. About the only pieces of his that are in color are his self portraits and various landscapes.
